A Vegan Thanksgiving Dinner Prepared Just For You
For a sublime vegan Thanksgiving holiday, book a stay at the Stanford Inn by the Sea in Mendocino. The five-course, prix fixe menu features all plant-based foods with gluten-free and nut-free options. Featured entrees include mushroom crepes with grilled asparagus, sweet potato, and a sauvignon blanc reduction, an almond-hazelnut encrusted tofu or portobello with sage-chestnut stuffing, mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy, roasted seasonal vegetable, and cranberry-orange sauce, or autumn squash ravioli with cashew-cauliflower alfredo and braised greens. Creative Journey Retreats and Vegan Retreats at Stanford Inn by the Sea
On the Mendocino Coast, the Stanford Inn by the Sea is hosting two very special retreats this spring focused on improving guests’ physical and emotional well-being. Led by registered art therapist and author Joan Stanford, the Creative Journey Retreat features “playshops” which offer profound opportunities for self-expression and discovery using collage, art making, writing, and more. The retreat will be held May 8-11, 2025, and includes three nights lodging, three breakfasts, three dinners, five creative experiences, open studio time, and a complimentary copy of Joan’s book The Art of the Play. For those who are vegan-curious (or already vegan), the resort’s Wellness Director, Sid Garza-Hillman, will lead two Vegan Retreats this spring for participants to learn the joy of plant-based living.
