Snickerdoodles

Tracey Berkner’s college roommate shared this recipe for snickerdoodles with her in the early 1990s.  Tracey baked them to serve at an open house when selling her home in Colorado as she and her husband were purchasing their first business, the St. George Hotel in Volcano.  The cookies made the whole house smelled like home.  The first guests to the open house made a full price cash offer.  Tracey and her husband then dubbed these cookies the “home sellers”.  Now when she bakes them it makes their guests feel at home immediately.

Ingredients

Servings:

1 cup shortening (part butter)
1 ½ cup sugar
2 eggs
]2 ¾ cup flour
