The Inn has been restored to the 1895 feel of the original architecture, with original wood floors, windows, moldings, with a touch of modernity. In addition, there is a large living room, dining area, sun room, back patio and 1/3 acres back garden to relax in. Every room is unique and carefully appointed with quality furnishings and fine linens. Many rooms have a wood burning fireplace and terrace. The Penthouse suite occupies the entire third floor. It has a King bed, wood-burning fireplace and a wet bar. The large bath features a whirlpool tub and waterfall shower. The large viewing deck offers comfortable seating, table and lounge area, a spectacular view of the ocean at a distance, palm trees views, and views of the red tile roofs in downtown Santa Barbara.

The George
The George is one of the most successfully executed examples of late nineteenth century residential architecture, and as such, is part of the National Register of Historic Places and Subsequent National Parks Service Evaluation. The property was originally commissioned in 1891 by George E. Goodman Jr., who was the son of one of Napa’s most prominent businessmen, George Goodman Sr.

Monarch Cove Inn
Poised on an ocean cliff, the Monarch Cove Inn looks out onto the breathtaking curve of Monterey Bay. Accommodations are intimately nestled among flower filled gardens and a monarch butterfly habitat. A designated segment of the property was given to the state of California as an environmental easement. It serves as a Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary to protect the species and to let future generations enjoy these beautiful butterflies. During migration the monarch butterflies may travel up to 3,000 miles. They arrive around mid-October and typically stay through mid-February.
