Glendeven is a delightful small country inn developed around a handsome New England Federalist style farmhouse that was built in 1867 by Isaiah Stevens for his family, who occupied the home until the late 1930’s. The farmhouse has three suites and two rooms, each with a distinct character. The Stevenscroft addition, designed by former owner Jan deVries, offers four spacious luxury suites with fireplaces and ocean views. The Carriage House suite, Glendeven’s newest addition, provides luxurious seclusion for that special get-away with that special person. Each room at Glendeven is unique and distinctive, with contemporary art, comfortable furniture, antiques, custom woodwork, tiled private baths and queen beds with feather mattresses. Most have fireplaces, ocean views and outdoor balconies or porches. In addition to the Inn, Glendeven is the site of one of Mendocino’s most intriguing art galleries, featuring contemporary ceramics, jewelery, original paintings, and etchings by local artisans and crafts people.
